CLASS ATTIRE REQUIREMENTS

Ballet: All dancers enrolled in Ballet MUST wear a black leotard and pink or skin tone tights. No crop tops or leggings. Pink or skin tone tights are both acceptable and you may wear a ballet skirt or dance short in addition to your leotard if you wish. Hair must be in a bun and away from face. Shoes: Pink or skin tone ballet shoes (split soles for ages 9+) with elastic sewn over the instep.  Boys may choose black ballet shoes.

Pointe & Pre-Pointe: All dancers enrolled in Pointe MUST wear a leotard and tights. Leotard color is dependent on class level. No crop tops or leggings. Pink or skin tone tights are both acceptable and you may wear a ballet skirt or dance short in addition to your leotard if you wish. Hair must be in a bun and away from face. Shoes: Pointe Shoes for levels 3-5; Pre-Pointe students will stay in ballet flat slippers and will be informed when it is time to purchase pointe shoes. 

Ballroom: Black Leotard, Pink or Skin Tone Tights, dance skirt optional. Hair: must be out of face in a ponytail or bun. Shoes: Jazz shoes or Children’s Ballroom sandals.

Tap: Leotard any color, or form fitted top, leggings or dance skirt/shorts.  Hair: must be out of face in a ponytail or bun.  Shoes: Students ages 3–9: Black patent leather Tap Shoes. Level 1-5: Black flat heel tap shoes.

Jazz: Leotard any color, or form fitted top, leggings or dance skirt/shorts.  Hair: must be out of face in a ponytail or bun. Shoes: Tan slip on Jazz shoes, Level 3-5 (split soles) may be asked to purchase Twylas for recitals/performances.

Hip Hop: Comfortable clothing that allows movement, hip hop sneakers that are not to be worn outside of class, no “street shoes” Hair: must be pulled back out of dancers face. 

Lyrical:  Leotard any color, or form fitted top, tights or dance skirt/shorts. Shoes: Tan Jazz shoes or Half Soles. Hair: must be out of face in ponytail or bun.

Modern & Contemporary: Leotard any color, or form fitted top, tights or dance skirt/shorts. Shoes: bare feet, Half Soles, or Tan Jazz shoes. Hair: must be out of face in ponytail or bun.

Leaps and Turns: Any colored leotard, or form fitted top, leggings or dance skirt/shorts. Shoes: Half Soles, or Tan Jazz shoes. Hair: must be out of face in ponytail or bun.

Strength and Flexibility: Any colored leotard, or form fitted top, leggings or dance skirt/shorts. Shoes: barefoot. Hair: must be out of face in ponytail or bun.

Musical Theatre: Any colored leotard, or form fitted top, leggings or dance skirt/shorts. Shoes: Tan T-Strap Character Shoes w/2 inch heal. Hair: must be out of face in ponytail or bun.
